Usually selecting mastery skills – especially when you’re combining two different masteries to create a new class – is a bit of a trial and error affair, as you gauge which skills from which mastery skill tree compliment each other. This is also the only way to use the Runemaster mastery as existing characters from old saves have no access to it.Īs convenient as it is, the accomplished hero approach has a big drawback though, especially if you’re a new player jumping into Titan Quest for the first time. The later will start your character at level 40 immediately, allowing you to put all the resultant points into any mastery skill tree you want. If that is the case, and you have to start a new character, you only two choices: 1) Start the entire game from the very beginning or 2) create a new “accomplished hero”. Bye bye, Bob the Battlemage, I’m going to miss you and your badass Core Dweller pet, Fluffy. Unless, like me, you came to the at-the-time logical conclusion that there won’t be any more Titan Quest and thus deleted your game install. If you picked up the Titan Quest Anniversary Edition – released in 2016 on Steam when THQ Nordic took over the franchise from original creators Iron Lore, and which is a requirement for Ragnarok – you probably still have your save games. As previously mentioned, this is Act 5 of this story and thus it needs to be played using a character that has fought through the previous campaigns and is ranked up enough to tackle the high-level content of Ragnarok. This Nordic warrior-shaman class is adept at both steel and spell as they can buff their weapons with runes or use the same runes on the battlefield itself to control it.Īccessing the Runemaster – or actually just Ragnarok in general – is not a straightforward affair though. Well, actually armed with a little bit more than that as Ragnarok brings with it new weapons and gear, as well as a brand new tenth mastery in the form of the Runemaster. In an admittedly serviceable tale that lasts dozens of quests and about 12 hours of gameplay (you can probably cut that down if you’re not as obsessive-compulsive about clearing every tiny corner of a map as I am – I have a problem) you will travel from dark German forests to the halls of Asgard itself as once again humanity is pitted against godly wrath, armed with just blade or staff. Ostensibly the game’s Act 5, picking up where Immortal Throne left off after the battle with Hades, Ragnarok will transport heroes to faraway parts of the world by breaking out of its Greek roots to tackle the frigid gods and monsters of Norse mythology with some Celtic and Germanic history thrown in there as well for good measure. ![]() ![]() ![]() When it comes to Ragnarok, the game’s second expansion after 2007’s Immortal Throne add-on, there isn’t much that’s surprising though – this is both a good and not-so-good thing. As agape as the news of a semi-sentient Cheetos chip becoming the US President left mouths last year though, for me there were few things that matched the pure outta-nowhere-ness of THQ Nordic suddenly announcing a brand new expansion for Titan Quest, the critically acclaimed action-RPG that was originally released all the way back in 2006. 2017 was certainly a year filled with plenty of surprises.

There are dozens of effects, overlays and frames to choose from and you can download more for free. The app doesn’t come across sluggish or laggy, but it did shut down a couple of times with a pop-up message that read – “Unfortunately, Pixlr-o-matic has stopped". You will quickly get the hang of it, even if you are an amateur. In a nutshell, Pixlr-o-matic is a pretty straightforward and hassle-free app to use. It makes storing and sharing simple and quick. It is also possible to share the image right away as the app shows your complete social suite from Facebook and Picasa to Gmail and Evernote. You can stick to the original image size, but the app recommends smaller sizes. Once you are done editing, hit on save and the app will let you choose the image size. This is definitely the best feature of the app. Similarly, you can also view the image with different frames and overlays. Here, you will also find the ‘My Effects’ option wherein you can view and compare the image with multiple effects. And here’s the best part – you don't have to pay to download these additional effects as they are absolutely free. Next to the Shuffle icon, you will find an option that takes you to the store from where you can download more effects and even uninstall them depending upon what suits you the best. Surprisingly, we were very pleased with the random effects, and you won't be disappointed either. If you don't want to scratch your head over these combinations, simply tap on the ‘Shuffle’ icon, which will then put together random effects to liven up your image. Pixlr-o-matic has a plethora of effects and overlays to choose from, which can be combined to bring out the best photo possible. Just select the effect you want and the image is good to go. As you select the image to be edited, you will find a row of effects smoothly sliding below the image and giving you a glimpse of each of these effects on the photo. And there won’t be a dearth of Effects/Overlays/Frames. Frames offers some lovely options from flowery to round and rustic frames, which will neatly border your images before displaying them. You can choose from various options such as Glitter, Gaze, Cyborg, Metal, Paint, Dirt, Scratches and so on. Effects adds several patterns of light to your image, giving it a dramatic look. Overlays offers different colour effects and shades to seamlessly overlay your photos and make them sharper. Pixlr-o-matic has a slew of photo editing options neatly categorised into Overlays, Effects and Frames. As you pick an image to edit, you will find a quick zoom-in/zoom-out option along with an icon that takes you to the store and ‘My Effects’ section. Even while choosing images, it will show your stock Android gallery and third party Gallery apps like QuickPic and file managers. To get started, you can either select an image from the gallery or take a quick snapshot with the camera option within the app. The interface is so simple and straightforward that navigating across the app and its features becomes quite smooth. We also liked how the homepage always shows the last edited image. If you take a close look at the app interface, you will find a couple of pictures by Pixlr that you can begin editing to get started with the different features that the app offers. ![]() ![]() The upper right corner is imprinted with ‘Pixlr’, which takes you to the company website, whereas the left corner shows the settings icon. Comic Book Guy's most well-known catch phrase, " Worst. ![]() Upgraded flight modesĭJI’s latest drones all have a bunch of smart flight modes for autonomous flight, allowing the pilot to sit back and concentrate on the photography if need be. Pilots can also cut through the noise to get as clear a stream as possible, switching between 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequencies for greater signal stability. If one battery fails during a flight, the other will be able to provide power for a safe return. According to the engineers at DJI, the Inspire 2’s dual-battery system will kick in during low power to make sure the Inspire 2 never falls out of the sky. There’s a statement we hope doesn’t come back to bite us. It’s too valuable (and smart) to just fall out of the sky It’s been kitted out with stereo vision sensors on its front and bottom for obstacle detection, while there are also upward facing infrared sensors on top of the aircraft to protect the drone when flying in tight spaces. The Inspire 2 has been brought up to speed with DJI’s latest drones in more ways than one. If you choose the X5S, you can expect to be shooting video in 5.2K, leaving plenty of room for post-production and ending up with mind-numbingly clear images.Īnd the vision side of things get’s cleverer. ![]() These are the not too shabby Zenmuse X4S and X5S cameras – additional cameras are expected in the near future. A second camera operator can receive a separate feed direct from the camera mounted on the main gimbal. First of all, we have to mention the Inspire 2’s built-in forward-facing camera, which offers the pilot the best view for flying while using the master controller. And in case things get too cold, the self-heating dual battery redundancy system maintains performance to -4 degrees Fahrenheit. Oh, and one final thing: If you’re planning on scaling Mount Everest anytime soon, the Inspire 2 can be bought with special high altitude propellers. The Inspire 2also has a fancy new propulsion system, which can help pilots take on another level of vertical camera moves, climbing at nearly 20 feet/second and descending even faster. Speed isn’t essential for great aerial photography, but plenty of professionals will appreciate the added variety it can bring to projects, especially when tied in with some of the Inspire 2’s tracking features.ĭespite having considerably more power than the original Inspire, the flight time is anywhere up to 27 minutes – if you choose to use it with the Zenmuse X4S camera, anyway. The Inspire 2 can hit 50 mph in just 4 seconds. Less weight and a new battery system take the Inspire 2’s top speed to a mighty 58mph – a figure that had to be dropped down from 67mph when DJI decided the drone was too fast. The new drone’s body is made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy, and so managed to be both stronger and lighter than the original. With the Inspire 2, DJI started with the basics. We know that drones are going to keep advancing in terms of capability, but sometimes it’s difficult to see where improvements can realistically be made. ![]() Professional aerial photography – Supercharged Well, the good thing is that it looks like you’ll get your money’s worth with the Inspire 2. You might also argue say that any drone bundle coming in at well over $3,000 better be nothing short of spectacular. This is, after all, a relatively new industry and DJI is way ahead of the competition. To take you back, the Inspire 1 was, as far as we can recall, the first filmmaking drone to bring together HD video transmission, a 360° rotating gimbal, a 4K camera and simple app control. Despite DJI saying back then that it was all you’d ever need for aerial photography, the Chinese market leader has since developed a range of solutions to make complicated flights and incredible footage even more accessible to the average Joe.īetter, faster, stronger – Why the DJI Inspire 2 is the best aerial photography drone there’s ever beenĪlright, maybe it’s not saying much to label the DJI Inspire 2 as the “best ever”. While there’s no doubt that the first Inspire was groundbreaking in its own right and is still miles ahead of plenty of the competition out there, the next generation looks set to take aerial photography to the next level (again). But things have moved on a lot since then, both in terms of hardware and software. The original Inspire, launched in 2014, remains a popular choice for aerial photography professionals. The Inspire 2 looks like a massive step forward for DJI’s range of prosumer drones. Even though DJI has launched the Mavic Pro and the Phantom 4 Pro in recent weeks, the new DJI Inspire 2 will, for many professional aerial photographers, be the most significant industry news they’ve heard in a while.Īnd it isn’t hard to see why. |
